As a member of "the conservative twosome," I want to assure Mr. Dondero there will be no attempt, on our part, to "subvert" anything. I took an oath to uphold the laws of the constitution and intend to honor that commitment. That doesn't mean we are without other legal options. And, to add to the intrigue of all of this, it should be noted that the court's decision regarding so-called "domestic partners" applies only to homosexual couples, not heterosexual. I am wondering, however, how long before such benefits will have to be offered to multiple-partner relationships, or to those people strongly attached to thier livestock. |
